Trip #2

This morning was round two at the doctor's office for a wellness check and his shots.  Right away the receptionists were surprised to see us.  It seems what happened to us last week has been the hot topic of conversation around the clinic.  I guess they thought we wouldn't be back...
Our visit definitely went better today; however, it didn't go as smooth as I would have liked.  We DID see his doctor and got everything completed for LSS, which is great!  Once again, though, there were no shots given.  His doctor left us in the exam room for over 30 minutes so she could check on what needed to be done.  (Personally, I'm glad she is thorough even if he was trying to get into everything and spent a lot of time screaming while waiting.)  She did come back with answers after many phone calls to different clinics - hallelujah! - and didn't ask ME what I thought needed to be done once!  The only stickler is that he needs to wait until Friday to get his two shots; today would be too early according to all of the records.  Who knows?  I'm just excited that someone has finally figured out what is going on and what Anthony needs for shots.  It was also nice to not hear any snotty comments about being his mom or not.
On the way out we made yet another appointment for his shots, which, hopefully, will happen this Friday at 9:30.  We'll see.  We also learned indirectly and in a hush manor that our nurse from last week won't get the chance to screw up/be disrespectful at that clinic again.
Maybe the third time really is the charm?  I'll be sure to let you know!

I'm glad she's no longer there. You never know anyone else's situation and people should be mindful enough to keep their thoughts to themselves sometimes. Especially in that position - she probably sees people with unique family situations on a daily basis but would never give it a second thought. Yeesh.

Sounds like your story was told to the right person. Maybe she'll think before she speaks next time.
